the game at ucsf

it started at ucsf and took us to quickly, sutro baths, legion of honor, palace of fine arts, xiao's sushi house, stanford, and san jose. and that wasn't even the end! the game was one fun and tiring time (we went from friday night at 6pm to saturday morning at 9am) for all five of us, but we bonded over silly and impossible puzzles, flat pizzas, coke bottles that refused to open, and...leaving a present at stanford. it was a night we'll never forget! go sugar mamas!

please meet...luka!

eugene's school (sf state) and other art schools in the san francisco area got together with san jose state and had a student mixer in the san jose city hall yesterday. lots of amazing work were presented, but we have to admit...we liked eugene's gorilla bookstand the best. so, we present...luka! (i wanted to call him "bookarilla"...get it? hehehe)

we had a lot of fun at the mixer. we ate A LOT of appetizers, saw a lot of great work (and one very childish and obnoxious biography), and eugene socialized! while eugene hung out with his friends, i sat in the distance reading all about fish oil and echinacea to prepare for an upcoming presentation. all in all....it was a fun night. :)

insignificant others

an "only in san francisco" musical...and i fully understand why now. all about friends moving to the city from cleveland ohio. lots of laughter, tears, and words and things i would say or understand. overall, a pretty funny show. the best part of the day though? seeing christine and joan again at our monthly get-togethers. i can't believe we're all back together again after all these years. :)

take a hike!

no fog? no clouds? in san francisco? no way! finally!!! a sun-shining day with not a cloud in the sky. after two long and hard weeks of school and rotations, we finally decided to take a breather and went for a nice short hike along the coast. there were plenty of people on the trail with us, but we managed to stay away from the crowd by walking toward the water. and, the labyrinth was still there! so cool! wonder when the sun will be out again.

when life hands you lemons...make lemon bars!

two weekends ago, it was lemon meringue pie. still had tons of lemons left, so made lemon bars. yummmmmmm... unfortunately, we got sick of them pretty quickly (did you know that lots of butter and sugar goes into lemon bars?). not going to be baking for a while...cuz...like they say...a minute on your lips, a lifetime on your hips!!!
