spring break
after a long quarter and a rough half semester, eugene and i headed north for spring break. typically, people head south to places like florida or mexico, but we thought we'd hang out in the cold instead. we saw some amazing scenery, drove through the back country, visited with our friends the tuans, braved through a mini snow storm, and still managed to get home in one piece. most importantly though, we got to visit eugene, oregon...a main destination of our brief road trip. it was a very college-town type of town, very quiet, very cold. and to our dismay, very without "eugene oregon" gear. everything was centered around oregon state insead of the town. :( s'ok though, at least we got to take plenty of pictures of the various "eugene" signs. hopefully, we'll get to visit eugene and the oregon coast again soon. maybe with our dear friends the tuans. :)

we had a great time with you guys! after you left, lucas kept talking about uncle "magene." it was great to finally "meet" eugene, and the kid's loved hanging out with the both of you as well. it was too short, though, so next time it will have to be a longer visit...preferably when i'm not pregnant so that i can enjoy a glass of viognier with you guys!
